ANALYSIS STANDARD / 01

Context before
conclusion.

A match preview is an interpretation of available evidence. It is not a guarantee of what will happen.

1. Establish the context

Start with the competition, matchup, likely game state, and the tactical problems each side may try to create. In football this can include shape, pressing, and chance creation; in American football, personnel, down and distance, and coverage or route concepts; in basketball, spacing, pace, and possession matchups.

2. Use statistics with their source and scope

Metrics such as expected goals, efficiency, or possession value need a defined source, time period, and context. A figure should not be inferred from a video title or presented as verified when its underlying record is unavailable. Different providers can define the same metric differently.

3. Separate observation from estimate

Tactical observations, source-reported statistics, and forecasts are different kinds of statements. Forecasts depend on assumptions and incomplete information; injuries, selection, tactical changes, and random variation can all alter an outcome.

4. Keep limitations visible

Public pages show only information approved for the site. If a relevant input is missing or cannot be verified, the page omits it. A prediction is an uncertain analytical view, not betting advice or a promise of results.

This page describes the editorial standard for the site. It does not mean every published video contains each metric or analytical component listed above.
